How Raven CFO Started.
I started as a bookkeeper.
Growing up in small-town Texas (and even now in Arizona), construction’s been everywhere — family, friends, neighbors all running businesses that seem to run them instead. I’ve watched good people grind 60-70 hour weeks, stress about cash, and miss life happening around them because of it.
Within a couple years I worked my way up to VP of Finance at a multi-million dollar construction and real estate investment firm. And from there I got my hands into just about every corner of the business — finance, operations, sales, marketing, IT, and legal. Some days running numbers, other days lacing up boots to hit the job sites.
I see the same pattern everywhere: great work, real businesses, real people — but without the financial strategy or leadership to match.
Then life handed me a perspective shift and the mission became personal — helping contractors get their time, their margin, and their freedom back. So I started Raven CFO to do exactly that.
A few facts about me:
- Nearly a decade of construction finance/ops experience
- Accounting degree from Arizona State University (Forks Up)
- I’ve worked with businesses from $500K to $30M+ in annual revenue
